Born in the small coastal Australian town of Angourie, Ry grew up with a surfboard under one arm and his Dad's record collection under the other. He quickly developed a love for a number of different styles of music from Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder to The Beatles, Led Zepplin and The Police. Ry's professional career began to take shape as an 18 year-old traveler and surfer in Costa Rica. One fateful afternoon while playing in the hallway of a hotel, Ry met a young film producer and his journey into LA and its music scene began...  He has just signed a mojor record deal with JIVE records and is recording his debut album!!!!

Ry has won two of Australia's Dolphin Awards in 2004 for Best Pop Song and Best New Artist and has recently been featured on NBC's EXTRA and MTV's LAGUNA BEACH: The Real OC. Ry is also featured alongside Maroon 5 and Jimmy Buffett in the New Line feature, HOOT. Ry has just signed a promotional deal with Roxy/Quicksilver so keep your ears and eyes peeled in the land and water of surfing... ry featured on Vogue, ry in the new Quiksilver film about the mentawai islands... details coming soon..
